Conrad Gargett Architecture celebrated its 120th birthday in 2010. In any terms, such a distinguished age denotes enduring skills, and confers a position of rare distinction. The origins of the practice presage a long history of determined professionalism, admirable business acumen and an extensive portfolio of Queensland’s major public, commercial and institutional buildings. Recent Queensland State Architecture Awards include the 2010 John Dalton Award for Building of the Year for the conservation and adaptive reuse of Old Government House, a 2009 Public Architecture Award for Holy Spirit Seminary (Banyo) and the 2006 Best of State Award for Commercial Interior Design for the Conrad Gargett Architecture Studio.
